Bryan Anderson has nearly 30 years of experience as a mutual fund portfolio manager, prop trading manager, hedge fund manager and securities analyst. He first gained a bit of notoriety as the top broker nationwide in the 1989 United States Investing Championships (Stock Division) with a gain of 107% in his personal account that year. He later went on to serve as Portfolio Co-Manager and Analyst for the New USA Growth Fund, a $350 million mutual fund where he focused on the information technology & medical products and services sectors.
In the late 1990’s, Bryan managed a proprietary trading account and conducted equity research for the institutional research firm, William O’Neil & Co., Inc. – the sister company to Investor’s Business Daily newspaper. During that time, he also spoke nationwide to subscribers of IBD on strategies for growth investing.
Bryan graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1982 with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. He has appeared in many publications, including Investor’s Business Daily, the San Francisco Chronicle, the San Francisco Business Times and Fortune magazine. He lives in Austin with his wife Andrea. The Andersons have a son Kyle, who works in the investment field, and a daughter Kimberly, who is in college. Bryan enjoys swimming, running and biking, and hopes his golf game will improve someday.
